The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Fishtown where we’ll enjoy a complimentary breakfast, do safety checks, and sign waivers. We will then hop on our bicycles to start the ride. Along the way, we’ll hear representatives from each organization who will tell us about the history and the focus of their current work. We’ll end our ride around 1:00p.m. where we’ll enjoy a fantastic lunch. After lunch, we will lead riders to 40 Street station on SEPTA’s Market-Frankford Line.
We will hear from the following community groups on our ride:
Native American House Alliance is fostering racial, economic, and political justice by and for Native American people and promoting an accurate understanding of the Native American experience.
CAIR-Philadelphia’s mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
we.REIGN creates spaces where Black girls can develop the skills needed to become activists, advocates, organizers, and change agents in their lives and communities.
One Art Community Center offers space, programming, and tools to community groups at its regenerative urban eco-arts village in order to promote environmental sustainability and community healing.
