Bread & Roses Community Fund presented David Cohen, Philadelphia City Councilman-at-Large and Florence Cohen, his former Chief of Staff and a longtime community activist, with the Paul Robeson Social Justice Award.  The program included tributes by Congressman Bob Brady, labor leaders Thomas Paine Cronin and Pat Eiding, former Council Member Angel Ortiz, and community activists.  Sharif Street addressed the gathering on behalf of his father, Mayor John Street.  The event brought together some six hundred attendees, including state legislators, City Council Members, and union and community activists at the Annenberg Center.
