Jane Shull

Jane Shull is the Director of Philadelphia FIGHT, an AIDS Service Organization offering HIV primary care, clinical research, social services and a wide range of education programs with the goal of empowering people living with HIV to take control of decisions that will affect their lives. FIGHT also emphasizes the needs of ex-offenders living with HIV. Jane's work for change began with the student antiwar movements of the 1960's and continued through neighborhood activism, AIDS activism, and support of LGBTQ movements. Her AIDS work began with an early commitment to ACT UP Philadelphia in the 1980's where along with many friends who have since lost their battle with AIDS she worked to increase access to medical care and clinical trials.

Prior to coming to FIGHT in 1991, Jane worked for many years at the Institute for the Study of Civic Values, where she developed a support center for community development corporations, and a network of community based Federal Credit Unions in low income neighborhoods in the 1970's and 1980's. She has served as a board member of the Philadelphia Council of Neighborhood Organizations, the Southwest Germantown Association Federal Credit Union, and the William Way Community Center, and as a member of the Community Advisory Board of the Board of Governors of the US Federal Reserve.
