Elicia Gonzales

Elicia GonzalesSince 2009, Elicia Gonzales has enthusiastically served as executive director for GALAEI: a queer Latin@ social justice organization, where she leads a team of dedicated, hard-working, and passionate individuals. She previously worked for Mazzoni Center, Philadelphia’s largest LGBT social service agency. Elicia serves on the Board for Raices Latin@ Pride Philadelphia and serves on Leadership Council for the National Latino AIDS Action Network.Elicia applies a holistic philosophy to her work, with a personal and professional mission to enlighten, educate, and empower self and others. She has pursued enlightenment for others through her clinical work as a therapist for youth and adults. She continues to deliver education through workshop facilitation on a wide range of positive sexuality issues. Elicia brings about empowerment through her past and current advocacy efforts toward social justice. She moved to Philadelphia in 2004 to obtain master’s degrees in social work and human sexuality education from Widener University. She is originally from Denver, where all of her beloved family resides.
