|Chelsie Headley is a social worker at Families Forward Philadelphia (formerly known as Travelers Aid Family Services), where she empowers chronically homeless families with the tools to achieve stability. Through case management, she provides these families with resource connections and helps to create a sustainable living environment for them. She has also developed a program on financial literacy that she continues to facilitate at the agency.
Chelsie recently graduated from Temple University’s School of Social Work, where she became a student leader in several organizations. She re-established Pride in Social Work, an LGBT advocacy group that promotes the improvement of social services as well as inclusive legislation. Upon graduating, Chelsie has continued to venture in the advocacy world, working with organizations such as the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and Philadelphia Jobs with Justice.
