Aissia Richardson

Aissia RichardsonAissia Richardson is the president of the African American United Fund and the vice president of operations for the Uptown Entertainment and Development Corporation. She has volunteered with various organizations that address policy issues and is a public education and public transit advocate. She served as the chair of SEPTA’s 24-member Citizen Advisory Committee for three years and is currently serving as the City of Philadelphia’s appointee to the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission Public Participation Taskforce. A Pennsylvania native and Philadelphia resident, Aissia enjoys connecting organizations to each other to create mutually beneficial partnerships. She has traveled extensively throughout the Delaware Valley learning about rural, urban, and suburban living and working with concerned citizens in our region to ensure their voices are heard when public planning is proposed and implemented.
