2012 Tribute to Change a success!

Making real change takes hard work, and Bread & Roses Community Fund recognizes the region’s best organizers and activists at our annual Tribute to Change

This year’s Tribute to Change was held in June and was a huge success. More than 400 people attended, and the event raised almost $84,000. Most of that money will go to grants and training for grassroots organizations working to make real change in our region.

The Tribute honored local workers’ rights heroes Kathy Black, Janet Ryder, Germán Parodi, the Philadelphia Unemployment Project, Southwest Philadelphia and Delaware County oil refinery workers, and the law firm of Kairys, Rudovsky, Messing and Feinberg.

Planning is already under way for next year’s Tribute to Change. If you’d like to get involved, please send an email to tribute@breadrosesfund.org. A labor- themed mini-conference is being planned for November to keep the conversation going about labor and the larger social justice movement in the Delaware Valley.
